Website access and hosting
We use Vercel Inc. to host and deliver this website. When you access it, technically necessary connection and log data—particularly IP address, time, requested URL, referrer, browser and operating system information—may be processed to provide, secure and troubleshoot the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Security logs are retained only as long as necessary for these purposes and legal obligations.
Privacy-friendly web analytics
With your permission for website statistics, we use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate website usage. It does not use third-party cookies and, according to Vercel, page-view data is not tied to an individual or IP address. We do not send email addresses or form contents as analytics events. Processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.
Cookie choices
Optional statistics, experience recordings and advertising measurement require separate choices. We store your selection, its version and date in the essential unscatter_consent cookie on this device for 180 days. You can change or withdraw your choice through Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawal stops future optional measurement and may reload the page. Access to tools and newsletter signup does not depend on tracking consent.
Google Tag Manager distributes permitted page and interaction events to Google Analytics 4 with Website statistics consent, and conversion events to Google Ads with advertising consent. Clear Mind measurement records neutral actions such as opening the check, giving a first answer and generating a result. Reflection text, selected answers, age, country, gender, result codes and derived mental-state labels are excluded from analytics and advertising payloads. Microsoft Clarity loads only with Experience insights consent, masks form contents and stops for the remainder of the document when Clear Mind opens or a sensitive tool is used. Google advertising personalisation and enhanced conversions remain disabled.
Newsletter with Brevo
If you voluntarily subscribe to The Friday Tab Closer, we process your email address and selected language to send the newsletter. Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany) processes the signup and delivery on our behalf.
The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use double opt-in: after submitting the form you must confirm the link in the confirmation email. You can withdraw consent at any time for the future using the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by emailing us. There is no disadvantage if you do not consent.
Storage and recipients
Confirmed newsletter data is stored until you unsubscribe. Afterwards, data may be retained in a suppression list only as far and for as long as necessary to prove the withdrawal and prevent further mailings. Unconfirmed signups are not added to the newsletter list. Data is disclosed only to processors required for hosting, security and newsletter delivery.
Where a processor or subprocessor handles data outside the EEA, transfers take place only under an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We have concluded the required data-processing agreements with our processors.
Local browser storage
Theme preferences, Clear Mind progress, answers and results are kept in this browser so that an unfinished check can be resumed. They are not uploaded as analytics or advertising data. Optional measurement records neutral process events only, under your separate consent choices. You can clear local drafts in your browser settings and withdraw optional consent through Cookie settings. The result is available without an account or email address; newsletter signup is separate and optional.
Contact
When you contact us by email or telephone, we process the information you provide to answer your request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual or contractual communication and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete correspondence when it is no longer needed, subject to statutory retention duties.
Your rights
Subject to the statutory conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Articles 15–21 GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority, in particular the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA). We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
